Write it down
The amount, who it is between, and a due date if there is one.

The other person accepts
A debt does not exist until they agree to the terms. From then on you hold the same record.

Settle in cash, confirm in the app
Hand the money over as you always have. The receiver confirms it, and both balances update.
What Qarz-Qurs is not
It is a record-keeping tool. That is the whole of it, and the terms say so too.
- It does not move, hold, or lend money. No cards, no bank transfers, no loans.
- Identity is checked through MyID, and only to prove who agreed to what.
- Blocking someone hides their messages. It never erases a financial record.
What you can do
- Split equally, or set a share for each person
- Bundle related group expenses together
- Due dates, periods, and reminders when something is overdue
- Follow balances in more than one currency
- Record a cash handover the receiver has to confirm
- Find the people you know who already use it
